"For us, the idea of having a work that has contradictions is very important—when, in affirming something, it includes itself and attacks itself. How can you put together all of these things that have nothing to do with each other? You use glue! Glue can be an idea, a word. You can use an ideological glue."
"I don’t know what the future holds for this kind of work. Things always go in waves and cycles. At one point people were talking about a return to straight photography. But maybe this is the end of it already and we’ve moved on to something else that I don’t even know about. I’m very optimistic for this type of photography and the joy and satisfaction it has given me, I’m constantly being surprised by what I see, what I learn, and- once in a while- by a great picture."
