"For us, the idea of having a work that has contradictions is very important—when, in affirming something, it includes itself and attacks itself. How can you put together all of these things that have nothing to do with each other? You use glue! Glue can be an idea, a word. You can use an ideological glue."
"My way of sharing is to be as thoughtful as possible about how the entire thing is constructed so that you will enter this experience along with me, and so that there is something that we can share in contemplation of the sublime (which is sometimes very much about what the photographs are) and of confrontations of power (because I think that the work is about that as well)."
