"At this time in my life, I’m ready to accept or own a kind of romance and melancholy or melodrama that I wasn’t ready to reveal before. It was always there in my inner life as an artist, but I was too afraid to share it."

"I took a seascape a couple of years ago. At first I wasn’t really impressed, but it was done with one of my cameras that had a huge light leak. It exposed all the dust on the screen, so it’s almost like two images. You have the actual photograph and then you have the texture of the film. That’s something that you could not create if you were using the latest standards in photography, or using digital photography."
