"What’s beautiful and what’s monstrous, or are they so intertwined that you can’t locate either one of them? This becomes the ethical dilemma, with both artist and viewer trying to clarify where they stand. To me, that’s one of the important parts of beauty. When I make a beautiful cloud, I still want people to think of a nuclear explosion."
