"Marie Sanders was a victim of the Gestapo. When the Nazis found out that she had slept with a Jew, they took her, cut off her hair, tore her clothes off, and she was walked down the street to her shame and- most likely- to her death. Bertold Brecht told her story in the song, ‘Ballade von der Judenhure.’"
