"I find myself questioning how much I want the inherent sparkle of high-end digital video to take center stage. A lot of the video work that’s being done today...gets overwhelmed by its own spectacular effects. I’m really trying to balance that immediate pay-off of the cotton-candy effect of video with what I think is ultimately a more rewarding thing a more sustained kind of contemplation of the medium."
