"It’s charged maybe for me, too, like a little bit of a sign of age. A little despair. Something getting rotten, old...and those overtones of something very delicate and transitory. An impossible image to work with, actually. Then, physically of course you can see that this is also made out of little parts and fits right into my laying down my mosaic floor theory where I collect a series of little images that enliven the surface The work is still, but there’s a little bit of life in there."
