"My work is often discussed in terms of post-colonial theory. And, of course, my work does deal with the aftermath or the result of colonialism and its impacts on identity. But it is a fraction of what I do. There are other aspects to my work—the aesthetic aspects, the contradictory aspects—and those are not focused on often enough."
