Creative Chemistries: Radical Practices For Art + Education
A public forum and experimental platform bringing artists and educators together to explore innovative practices for art and education, which took place February 20–21, 2015 at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City.
Our experiences of working with educators across the country—who come from a broad spectrum of museum, classroom, and alternative settings and who serve diverse student populations—have helped us to shape our programs and materials to support our audiences. Through sharing our thoughts on contemporary art and teaching methods, and talking with and learning from educators, we grow in our understanding about the possibilities and practicalities of working with Art21 materials and contemporary art.
Explore the range of opportunities to share with Art21 through professional development programs, as well as a summary of our past events and presentations.
Join a growing network of educators who are interested in bringing contemporary art into their teaching—and are sharing ways to facilitate conversations, to introduce video as a teaching tool, and to explore the art and ideas of living artists in the classroom.
