Marela Zacarías (b. 1978, Mexico City, Mexico) lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. She earned a BA from the Kenyon College (2000) and an MFA from Hunter College (2012). She has been a resident at the Willowell Foundation (2013), Vermont Studio Center (2011), Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Connecticut, Storrs (2009-10), Central Connecticut State University, New Britain (2003-05), and the Corcoran School of Art, Washington (2001-02).
